Happy America Recycles Day!

ARD 2017 Lunch Panel - PosterAmerica Recycles Day is Wednesday, November 15, 2017. People all across the country will be organizing special events to promote the 3 R’s – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle. Rob Pudner, Recycling Outreach Educator for GSWMD, will be part of a panel of recycling insiders at the Bozeman Public Library available to answer questions from the public, beginning at 11:30am.

Saturday (11/18) is also our 3rd Fix-It Clinic which aims to help residents avoid burying more waste by fixing their broken clothing and household items. Some things can’t be recycled, but we can try to fix them!

From KBZK News:
Join your fellow community members for a panel presentation
and q&a session with your local recycling experts to celebrate America
Recycles Day!

What can we recycle? Where does it go? Why can’t we recycle glass? What does the recycling market look like internationally? What is recycling like from a manufacturing perspective? This panel will give the consumer a glimpse into the dynamic and complicated world of recycling, while encouraging consumers to recycle and do so correctly.

The panel will include representatives from Republic Services, Four Corners Recycling, the Gallatin Solid Waste Management District, Montana State University, and West Paw Design.

RSVP Recommended. RSVP to Caitlin Green at (406) 582-6659 or CGreen5@republicservices.com by November 14th.

Event organized and sponsored by Republic Services.
Refreshments will be provided.
